We are getting close to $85k and the mysterious digital-first Variant stretch goal! Until then, here is some exciting news!
Dev Diary #3: Environment Live Stream
Tomorrow, Wednesday May 11th at 11 am Eastern, we will be featuring Jennifer showing us how she is creating the Omnitron-IV environment in 3D using Unity (the graphics engine, not the technomancer). If you’re interested in the technical details of geometry, lighting, shaders, textures, and everything else, or if you just want to see some cool robots, be sure to tune in!
The stream will be broadcast live on our Twitch channel, and will be posted to YouTube within the next couple of days. Subscribe to both channels to keep up to date!
#SentinelsLive Tonight: Wager Master Preview
We’re hard at work on Mini-Pack 3, the last expansion in Season 1. It contains the wackiest, wildest villain of the Multiverse: the capricious Wager Master.
The Wager Master appears however it wants. It commonly goes for centuries without showing up anywhere in the Multiverse. But when it does show up, it’s a safe bet that things will go wrong.
As part of unlocking Squish Goal #2.5, this week’s One-Shot has been determined completely by your input. 125 people voted on what the One-Shot should be, and you can play it in-game right now!
Here are some insights on the results:
21 people voted for Infinitor, and 20 of those chose Heroic Infinitor. One person tried to vote for.. Heroic Voss?
Only 41% of people voted for Advanced rules, so this One-Shot uses regular villain rules.
43 people voted for 3 heroes, and 49 people voted for 4 heroes. Nobody at all voted for 5 heroes – the rest voted for fewer than three!
The top four heroes were the only heroes with more than 30 votes each.
Captain Cosmic and The Argent Adept were tied with 35 votes each, so a coin flip determined who would be the first hero.
Dark Visionary was the most popular hero variant, but The Visionary only had 16 votes among the heroes.
20 people voted for Time Cataclysm to be the environment.
Fixed random seed was the most popular starting method, taking 64% of the vote.
The most common number people were thinking of was the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything - so that became the random seed!
Some potential game title highlights:
ha ha oh god I don't know how about Tripping the Bomb Fantastic
It's Not Easy Being Green
Time Keeps On Slipping
42
I Don't Know I Just Want To Fight Progeny
As with every Weekly One-Shot, we play-tested the setup internally and with our dedicated beta testers. It’s a difficult but winnable game, so well done everyone! Thanks for contributing to the vote, and watch out - perhaps your specific submitted setup will be used for a Weekly One-Shot in the future! We have 125 interesting submissions to draw from.
YouTube: 12 – Make a video using SotM music and send us the link to be counted! You can watch the videos made so far for inspiration.

To Everything There is a Season 2 - Thanks to You!
– Mon, May 09, 2016 at 11:57:16 PM
You did it! Over the weekend you helped us reach our funding goal of $80,000, securing the future of all Season 2 content, and becoming the greatest hero team in all the Multiverse!
By reaching the Environmentalist goal, you have unlocked a free wallpaper pack of environments from the core game: Insula Primalis, Megalopolis, Ruins of Atlantis, and Wagner Mars Base. Players never get to see the environments without characters, cards and other UI elements over them. We think Video Game fans will really like how these brand new, high-res captures of the environments look on their desktops or tablets.
Now that we’re fully funded, ALL backers can look forward to receiving the following:
All the items in your chosen reward level
A copy of the exclusive Character Wallpaper pack announced in Update #1
A free copy of the first soundtrack from Season 2
More bonuses from stretch goals to come
In addition to the above, Mobile Backers (MOBILE levels, ANDROID levels, COLLECTOR levels or $5.01 add-ons) can look forward to receiving the following:
The 24 hour mobile discount (more mobile backers can extend this discount period)
The mobile-exclusive wallpaper pack
The mobile-exclusive multiplayer avatar
So Stretchy
We’ve reached $80,000 and we couldn’t be happier! But while $80k was our most important goal, it’s not our only goal. In Update #6 we revealed our stretch goals up to $110k:
$85k - Skip the Queue: A new digital-first variant is unlocked immediately in-game.
$90k - Show Off: All backers get an exclusive multiplayer avatar for use in-game commemorating your participation in the Kickstarter.
$95k - Rift in Time: We will release the Season 2 Preview Pack this summer with Setback, Chokepoint and Temple of Zhu-Long.
$110k - New Challenges Await: We will add Villain Challenge modes to the Video Game.
Since we have almost a week before we’re done, we thought we’d give you the next couple goals so you can see what else you have to reach for. Today we are announcing the following two stretch goals, up to $150k.
The Sounds of Victory
When tasked with creating the theme song for Iron Legacy while developing Shattered Timelines, Jean-Marc (our resident maestro) realized that, since Iron Legacy is really just America's Finest Legacy after a tragic twist of fate, the same should apply to Iron Legacy’s theme song. And so, to do it properly, he really needed to create a theme song for America’s Finest Legacy. He did, and it was awesome. We released it as a bonus track on the Shattered Timelines Soundtrack, and immediately began getting requests for more heroic theme songs.
And so here it begins: The Sounds of Victory: Part 1!
When we reach $125k, our very own Jean-Marc will create original theme songs for the 10 core game heroes and 11 Season 1 heroes and we will release it as an album. From the core game: Absolute Zero, Bunker, Fanatic, Haka, Legacy, Ra, Tachyon, Tempest, The Visionary, and The Wraith. From Season 1: The Argent Adept, Captain Cosmic, Chrono-Ranger, Expatriette, Guise, Mister Fixer, Nightmist, Omnitron-X, The Scholar, Sky-Scraper and Unity.
But even better - every backer AT ANY LEVEL will get a copy of this album for free! That’s a bonus value of $10 to your reward at no extra charge.
Stories of the Multiverse
What are the defining battles of the Multiverse? Who participated in each one? What happened first, and what consequences did that have? But more importantly, can I play them all in order in one continuous storyline?!
If we reach this stretch goal, you can!
When we reach $150k, we will implement a full campaign mode featuring the official story of the Multiverse as written by the designer of Sentinels of the Multiverse, Christopher Badell! Starting with the first canonical battle in Sentinels history and culminating in OblivAeon, this is the story, the whole story and nothing but the story. By its nature, the tale cannot be fully told until OblivAeon ships, so stay tuned!
5 Days Left!
The campaign closes at 2 pm Eastern on Friday the 13th - our lucky day! That gives us less than 5 days to continue building towards the stretch goals. We know from our sales numbers that there are more than 16,000 Season Pass 1 owners out there. Even if only one in four Season Pass owners are interested in Season 2 (and we think that’s a low estimate), that means there are at least 1,000 more potential Season 2 backers out there. We’re doing what we can to get the word out, and we know that you are too!
Remember, mobile backers get special bonuses for backing, as well as the same bonuses that every backer gets. Your pledge will count toward stretch goals, and helps unlock longer discount periods (during which all mobile Season Pass 2 sales count toward stretch goals). The more mobile backers, the longer the discount period, the more stretch goals and bonuses reached!
Social Goal Unlocked
Thanks to all your furious tweeting and retweeting over the weekend, we reached fully funded early Sunday morning, but we were also counting all those retweets. We’re happy to announce that you’ve unlocked the Flora and Fauna Follower social goal by reaching over 500 total retweets.
This means that you have another FREE wallpaper pack to download, this time from Shattered Timelines and Wrath of the Cosmos: Time Cataclysm, The Block, Dok’Thorath Capital and The Enclave of the Endlings. Enjoy decking out your desktops in style!
You’ve done a lot, but we still need help spreading the word in this final week!
Social & Mobile Goal Tracker
The next social goal (Worldly Wanderer) unlocks when you reach 1500 combined shares and retweets. To help move things along, we’re adding YouTube videos (and shares/retweets of them) to the count as well! You can see your progress below:
YouTube: 11 – Make a video using SotM music and send us the link to be counted! You can watch the videos made so far for inspiration.
Social Total: 1075 / 1500 (+155)
Mobile Backers (including Add-Ons): 657 / 1000 (+41 backers) – 24 hour discount (500 backers) has been reached! Back at the $5 or $15 levels, Android levels, or add $5.01 onto your pledge to be counted and help extend the discount!
Video Killed the Sentinels Star - Sentinels of the Multibits Unlocked!
– Sat, May 07, 2016 at 11:41:48 PM
Earlier this week, we posted Update #14 with some tips and resources to make your music-video-making a bit easier. But most importantly, we told you exactly what you would get if the community made 10 music videos for us. Apparently all it took was a little push, because in just 2 days, you created 7 more videos to unlock the Sentinels of the Multibits!
Back in October, we released the sheet music for the Sentinels theme song in honor of our 1 year anniversary. Fans from all over sent in their own renditions of the song, but it also gave our very own Jean-Marc an opportunity to revisit his own work and create a chiptune interpretation. Fans immediately wanted to know where they could get it, but we knew we wanted to do something special with it, and now we have!
An MP3 of Sentinels of the Multibits (Sentinels of the Multiverse 8-Bit Remix)
A ringtone version of Sentinels of the Multibits (both .MP3 and .M4R)
A text tone of the ending sting (both .MP3 and .M4R)
A Sentinels of the Multibits Wallpaper (Desktop, Tablet and Phone versions)
Well done Sentinels! We have 10 videos now, but more are certainly welcome. Any additional videos will be added to the playlist here and preserved for posterity. We’ll also feature them in future updates. Keep spreading the word Sentinels, and we’ll be over-funded in no time!

Making a Music Video
The Sentinels of the Multibits social goal needs you to make videos using the music from the video game. Your video doesn’t have to be super fancy, so we encourage you to give it a try even if it’s your first time making a video! Check out our YouTube playlist of the videos that have been created so far.
We’ve compiled some resources that can help you get started.
Music You can use any part of the music from the video game in your music video. If you do not yet own the soundtracks, send us a direct message via Kickstarter with your email address and the track you would like to use and we'll get it to you.
Official Artwork There are all sorts of art resources available from the Greater Than Games downloads page on their website. Aside from the various PDFs and things, there are 2 high resolution artwork packs:
You are also welcome to take screenshots of the game or cards from the Multiverse and use them in your video. Or use your creativity to make your own images!
Video Creation Software There are lots of software programs and websites that can help you make a video easily. We’ll suggest some here, but if you know about more, let us know in the comments!
Animoto - This website lets you create slideshow videos with music and cool animations. It has a free trial available.
iMovie - Available for iOS or OS X, iMovie has great templates for making trailer length videos and for larger projects too.
Windows Movie Maker - a video creation app from Microsoft that comes free in many versions of Windows.
Search the web for “movie maker online” to find many other options that might work for you!
Collaboration Heroes work together as a team to defeat villains, and you can work together as a team to make videos! Get together with other fans to combine your different talents and make something great.
Perhaps someone from the fan art thread would be interested in helping. Be sure to ask permission before using someone’s art.
Submitting Your Video When you’re ready, upload your video to YouTube and include the link to the Kickstarter campaign in the description. Then send us a message with the link to your video, and watch the views roll in!
